Hornist & Music Librarian

Welcome!

Hi, I'm Rachel - a hornist, music librarian, and private horn teacher based in Milwaukee, WI. I hold a Master of Music in Horn Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. 

I have been teaching private horn lessons for over 10 years, working with students of all levels. I also perform as a freelance horn player with experience playing in orchestra, opera, bands, musical theater, and chamber music. Highlights of my performance opportunities include performing in a masterclass with the American Horn Quartet (2020) and playing Principal Horn with the Berlin Opera Academy (2025). 

I also have extensive experience working as a music librarian, most recently working with the Glimmerglass Festival (2024-2025) and Houston Grand Opera (2025-2026).
